We are very proud to announce that we have passed the audit of our Quality Management System. This means that our QMS has been approved to the new standards of ISO 9001:2015 and the much more stringent aerospace industry standard AS9100:D, under the terms set out under United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) accreditation.
After a week of close scrutiny by the auditors from Lloyds Register, who inspected every aspect of our quality system from back office functions to manufacturing processes, our team was pleased to hear they had passed with flying colours. They demonstrated that they consistently and accurately follow the correct processes, and work with a strong customer focus and a drive to continual improvement, at all levels and areas of the business.
Shelley Wales, General Manager, was delighted that the hard work and dedication of the Petersen team has been recognised, “I am so proud of every member of the team. Achieving a quality accreditation is not about the week of the audit – it’s about the attention to detail every single day of the year. It is this consistency that makes our system so robust and one in which customers can trust.”
Quality certifications
ISO 9001 sets out the criteria for a quality management system, and approval to the standard is proof of our commitment to providing quality products and services. There are over one million companies and organizations in over 170 countries certified to ISO 9001, and we are delighted to be one of them. AS9100, which is based on ISO 9001, provides a specific quality management standard for the aerospace industry, with a focus on risk, traceability and continuous improvement of quality and service.
